Shantanu Hudlikar, Chief Sound Engineer, YRF Studios, armed with a PhD in genetics, became a sound engineer because he wanted to “improve the quality of sound” in the country.
Shantanu has worked with most of the top Indian film music directors as well as some of the leading and up and coming bands on the rock and indie scene, making him the most sort after engineer in India. He has worked with the likes of Deep Forrest, Bombay Dub Orchestra, Herbie Hancock, Gustavo Santaolalla, AR Rahman, Larry Klein, Rupert Hine and Stephen Taylor to name but a few. Recently he bagged the Best Producer at the Jack Daniels Rock awards 2013 for the album The Silent Sea by the Delhi based band Advaita.
